Company headquartered in Ontario, CA with multiple locations worldwide is seeking an experienced Vice President of Administration to manage the administrative aspects of the worldwide employee benefit programs, insurance needs, personnel matters, intellectual property administration and government regulations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Administration directs and coordinates broad corporate activities in the planning, development and implementation of policies, programs and practices in support of the operating divisions, provides counsel and assistance to other officers and to the operating divisions through specialized staff services, and is responsible for all aspects of human resources, public relations and corporate administration functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of company policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with others to effectively implement programs, policies, and procedures within the company.

  • Ensure that the company is staffed with sufficient qualified personnel to achieve its organization objectives.  This includes recruiting, screening and selection, developing suitable performance appraisal systems, and maintaining employee records.

  • Implement, communicate and administer competitive employee group benefits programs for all of the operating divisions.

  • Direct the property and casualty insurance programs for all the operating companies and manage loss control.

  • Serve as point of contact and control for all legal services.

  • Ensure compliance with product liability laws and regulations and secure defense against any claims of damage.

  • Oversee property negotiations and acquisitions/leasing.

  • Manage intellectual property matters, arranging for processing of patents, trademarks, copyrights and design registrations and for their maintenance and renewal.

  • Provide legal pre-screening of all new products and product changes, including packaging, to ensure compliance with current standards regulations and laws.

  • Ensure that the Corporation complies with various labor, employment and immigration laws, ordinances and regulations.

  • Lead and coordinate various audits and certification process

  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure legal compliance and protection

  • Represent Company on various industry associations and groups and serve as Corporate spokesman for contacts with the media, government, and public and community groups.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, with Advanced Degree a plus

  • 10+ years of experience managing all aspects of the above responsibilities with 5+ in a Sr. Management role preferably within large to Fortune 1000 manufacturing companies

  • Excellent personnel management skills, including the ability to communicate, set expectations, motivate, and resolve conflicts

  • Results-oriented with prior experience in a multi-national/multi-cultural company

  • Excellent leadership, people skills and in verbal and written communications

  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills and time management

  • Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin) a plus
